Sporting Chic was designed to be a place where female athletes of ALL SPAHTS could come together to CONNECT, LEARN, and LAUGH. (If you aren't saying the capitalized letters in the Boston accent voice, you're doing it wrong.)

So we have decided to start a Game of the Week in which we will preview an upcoming female sports event. We want to start with the WNBA because the 2017 season just tipped off last weekend!

As you, our loyal readers and avid sports fans probably know, the WNBA consists of 12 teams. The defending champions are the Los Angeles Sparks, for which stars like Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike play.

Our game of the week this week will take place on Tuesday, May 23rd between the Connecticut Sun and the Minnesota Lynx. You can watch on ESPN2 at 8pmET. We're hoping that we'll be able to Instagram Live during the game and interact with our readers about the badass-ery that is going on. That being said, none of us know our schedules this far in advance and no promises will be made! At the very least, we will remind you guys of the game on Twitter and post a follow-up article about it if we don't get to Instagram Live.
