Pro Tec Athletics

July 17, 2017 by Stephanie McCaffrey

If you haven't checked out our 9 Recovery Methods Article yet, click here.

In it, we featured the Pro Tec Orb by Pro Tec Athletics. We had no idea that Pro Tec had tons of other products that would help take our recovery game to the next level. Luckily, we spoke with them about the article and now we have even more amaing products to tell you guys about.

Pro Tec offers over 60 products designed to help athletes recover from injury and maintain their active lifestyles. Visit their products page here to see everything from orthopedic braces to massage therapy and stretching devices.

Some of our favorite recovery tools (yes, I have a box in my apartment with all of my recovery tools) include the Orb and the Orb Extreme, the Stretch Band, the Roller Massager, and the Spiky Massage Ball.

The Orb, as we mentioned in our previous blog post, is like a round foam roller. It's the ideal size and shape for gluts, especially since it's difficult to really get into your gluts with a foam roller. I bring my Orb traveling with me in my backpack and use it all throughout a day at the airport or weekend at a hotel. It's honestly one of the best recovery tools that I've ever had. The Orb is also available at Dick's Sporting Goods. The Orb Extreme is just as good- it's a little bit harder and has bumps to get even deeper. Basically, if you love pain, get the Orb Extreme.

The Pro Tec Stretch bands are also dope. I've never been a huge fan of the lay-on-your-back-and-stretch-your-hamstring-with-a-strap stretch. But the Pro Tec bands are sturdy enough to hold your leg in place while also providing just enough wiggle room to get some mobility in there. They're super easy and they allow you to stretch hamstrings, groins, IT bands, calves, and literally just about anything else if you get creative.

How sick are you of those roller massagers that literally bend in half when you're trying to push it hard enough up against your STRONG AF thigh? Well, no more of that. This roller massager is thicker than a snicker and will get even the meatiest of knots out. It's perfect for quads and calves, especially because you can really truly work those out yourself. It works for hamstrings as well, but try doing roller massage with a partner. You know, I'll roll your calves if you roll mine. At first you're going to literally jump out of your skin, but it's an awesome way to get those hard-to-reach locations without that pesky self-pity preservation. Pro Tec also makes a travel size roller massager.

And last but not least, we have the Spiky Massage Ball. Plantar fasciitis, beware. Your time has come. This thing is perfect for the bottom of your feet and is ideal for traveling. So much relief can come from rolling the bottoms of your feet. If you have never tried it, you gotta get one of these ASAP.

Pro Tec is offering Sporting Chic readers 20% their products with code SPORTINGCHIC.
